APOCRYPHAL GOSPELS
Name started to writings arisen in the first centuries of the Christianity concerning the figure of Jesús de Nazaret and that were not accepted by the catholic orthodoxy, between that there are the rolls of the dead sea and Nag Hammadi.
One gave them the name of gospel for his aspect similar to four gospels admitted into the canon of the New Testament. Nevertheless, many of them do not have an evangelical style, since they are not used to announce Good News (this is what means etymologically Gospel). Some of these writings arose in gnostic communities, with the intention of containing secret words (in Greek, apokryphos). These secret messages between the speeches attributed to Jesús were reserved to the initiated ones in these communities. Although initially it was named a " Apocryphal gospel " only to this type of writings, there were extended later all those who were not included in the canon of the New testament, independently of his purpose, it conceals or not. In our days the acceptation most used for the apocryphal term alludes to falsity, for such a motive it has started calling them him also, extracanonical gospels.
In general terms, apocryphal gospels, for the perspective it christens, it is all that book of unknown author who treats on facts related to Jesús's life. These texts, they are not recognized like sacred by the Church. But in particular terms, it is understood by apocryphal gospels strictly to the manuscripts found in 1945, in the High Egypt. These works were investigated, systematized and arranged by genres, as it happens with the books that they compose the Ancient one and the New Testament. They all refer to Jesús's life and the most mysterious writings are the so called ones " the gnostic gospels ", since they present concepts proceeding from this philosophical - religious doctrine.
One of them is the gospel of Maria Magdalena. It is named this way to an apocryphal gnostic gospel, possibly of the IInd century, from which some fragments have come until our days only.
